Contributor’s Guide

Designisso aims to provide a platform for the emerging talents of the local art and design scene. We’d love to see your work – submit it to us!

Publication of Original Writing 

  1. Reviews, critiques, opinion pieces: max. 12,000 characters (including spaces), in DOCX (.docx) format 
  1. Interviews, narrative interviews, excerpts from academic papers: approx. 20,000 characters (including spaces), in DOCX (.docx) format 
  1. References: numbered within the text, e.g. [1]; in footnotes, e.g. [1] Parikka, Jussi. 2015. A Geology of Media. University of Minnesota Press. 
  1. Images: max. 2 MB, with the longer side measuring 1,600–2,000 px 
  1. Captions: included in the image file names or in a separate DOCX (.docx) file, following the image name/number 
  1. Image credits: if known, the name of the creator or copyright holder; if not, the source website, including the link 
  1. Moving-image material: GIF and MP4 formats; videos can also be embedded via YouTube link 

Please send the compiled material to szerkesztoseg@mome.hu by sharing a Microsoft OneDrive or Google Drive folder, or by sending a folder via SwissTransfer. 

Designisso welcomes article proposals as well as ideas for article series. As a first step, please send us a concept description of max. 2,500 characters, including spaces.

All submitted materials are subjected to editorial review, which determines whether they will be published. We will provide feedback in all cases.
