About

Designisso (DIS) is an online magazine edited and operated by the community of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design.

According to Designisso, design is a concept that spans across genres and professional fields, enabling dialogue between the various elements of culture, from the built environment to digital bitstreams.

Editorial Team

The magazine’s editorial team is composed of students and staff from MOME. The work at the magazine is led by Editor-in-Chief Máté Sipos (sipos.mate@mome.hu). Dorottya Balkó works with us as an editor-journalist. Each semester, a cultural journalism course supports the operations of DIS.

We are grateful for the contributions of the second co-editor-in-chief of DIS (2015-2023), Ákos Schneider, and the magazine’s first editor-in-chief (2014-2015), Dániel Kovács, as well as Zsolt Petri, Director of the MOME Project and Development Office. We also thank János Hunor Vári for his collaboration in designing the first identity and website of DIS.

The texts published on the site always convey an independent, authorial voice and do not necessarily reflect the views of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design.

Identity and Web Design

DIS uses the WordPress engine. The current visual identity of the magazine was designed by Adrienn Császár. The website developer is Péter Gyetvai. For the texts, we use Ádám Katyi’s Westeinde font and the open-license Butler typeface.
